Zion’s Horizon Retreat

Zion’s Horizon Retreat is a modern desert sanctuary showcased in the 2026 St. George Parade of Homes, set against the red rock backdrop of Hurricane, Utah. Positioned along the 17th hole at Sand Hollow Resort, the residence embraces expansive views, refined materiality, and a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle designed for both entertaining and retreat.

Designed by Onyx Design Collective in collaboration with MG Homes, the 3,750-square-foot home balances sculptural architectural form with warmth and restraint. Clean lines, articulated rooflines, and floor-to-ceiling glass frame sweeping desert horizons, while a curated palette of stucco, stone, architectural metal, and warm wood grounds the home in its environment.

At the heart of the home, an open great room and kitchen extend effortlessly to covered patios and a private pool courtyard, creating a resort-style flow that blurs the boundary between interior and exterior spaces. Skylights and strategic glazing bring natural light deep into the home, enhancing its calm and airy atmosphere throughout the day.

The primary suite functions as a private sanctuary, wrapped in glass and oriented toward the landscape with spa-inspired amenities, including a soaking tub and outdoor shower. Flexible living spaces, a private office, and thoughtfully layered interiors support everyday living and hosting alike, while the backyard oasis features a pool and putting green designed for leisure and connection.

As a 2026 St. George Parade of Homes showcase, Zion’s Horizon Retreat reflects Onyx’s integrated approach to architecture and interiors. Contemporary yet timeless, expressive yet grounded, the home delivers a refined desert living experience rooted in place and elevated by design.
