This one-of-a-kind custom home in Utah was designed by Onyx Design Collective with multigenerational family connection as its foundation. The residence features a thoughtfully integrated accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that creates two complete, independent living spaces, one for a son and one for his mother, while maintaining privacy and fostering daily connection.
Unlike typical ADU designs relegated to basements or detached backyard structures, this innovative ADU functions as a true second home with its own private entrance, dedicated outdoor patio, and stunning views. The custom residence supports aging in place and modern multigenerational living arrangements while sharing yard space with the owner's sister's family next door, creating meaningful connections across three generations. The result is a forward-thinking home design that balances togetherness with independence, comfort with functionality, and family connection with personal privacy.
