Pie Fight
Located in Salt Lake City’s 9th & 9th neighborhood, Pie Fight brings new life to a shared retail and café space through a thoughtful tenant improvement. The design transforms a modest footprint into a functional kitchen and service area for a hand pie bakery, blending charm, efficiency, and accessibility.
Onyx Design Collective provided full architectural services for the remodel, which included reconfiguring the kitchen layout, adding a new doorway and partition wall, and integrating updated plumbing and electrical for baking operations. Exterior improvements feature a new accessible ramp, handrails, and modified deck to create a compliant and welcoming service window experience.
Every detail, down to the brushed chrome door hardware and ADA-compliant finishes, was considered to meet code requirements while maintaining the approachable, neighborhood character that defines Pie Fight. The result is a small but mighty space that supports local craftsmanship and community connection.
