USU - American West Heritage Center
The American West Heritage Center Event Barn, located in Wellsville, Utah, was designed as a 4,800-square-foot multi-use venue blending tradition, education, and community. Created in collaboration with Utah State University, private donors, and the American West Heritage Center, the project embodies the spirit of the region’s agricultural and pioneer heritage while offering a modern, flexible environment for gatherings and events.
Onyx Design Collective envisioned a space that functions year-round as both an event destination and an educational hub, hosting weddings, community programs, exhibits, and workshops. The barn’s design merges authentic rural character with contemporary performance, celebrating craftsmanship, functionality, and the enduring legacy of the American West.
